DINING --
Known as "The Seafood Capital of the World," Panama City Beach is
a pleasant surprise to most guests. While it is certainly a great
place to get the freshest seafood possible, with numerous locally
owned seafood restaurants, PCB also offers many other options with
a broad array of cuisine choices. In addition to the fresh seafood
fare, diners will be pleased to find restaurants also serve more
traditional southern fare, Caribbean, Cajun and even Oriental
specialties. Here are some Guest Favorites:
Bayou Bill's Crab Shack
-- located at the far west end of the beach, next to Winn-Dixie
where Front Beach Rd meets Back Beach Rd (new Hwy. 98) across from
Carillon Beach; 235-1010.
Boars Head Restaurant
-- Olde English style; steak, seafood, venison, quail.
Boatyard
-- dress is casual, prices are reasonable; open 7 days a week.
Canopies -- 4423 W. Hwy 98 one mile East of Hathaway
bridge; casual fine dining; recommended by Southern Living
Magazine. 872-8444.
Captain Anderson's
-- restaurant and waterfront market; a local tradition.
Louie's Restaurant & Oyster Bar -- a small restaurant
located on 19605 Panama City Beach Pkwy. Great Greek Salads, good
hamburgers and seafood platter, grouper sandwich. Very reasonable
and nice people. Eat-in or Carryout 235-3660.
Pineapple Willy's
-- world famous ribs, seafood, and Angus beef; popular pier
dining.
Schooners
-- the last Local Beach Club; live music; famous for their cannon.
The Treasure Ship
-- enjoy a great meal on a majestic 200-foot long replica of a
17th century Spanish galleon.
ThreeFish Grill -- Carillon Beach; open for Lunch and
Dinner 7 days a week. Upstairs they have a gourmet restaurant. 102
Market Street, 235-2811, Very good food, pricier than some but
wonderful service and food. Located in the small downtown area of
Carillon Beach.
Triple "J" Steakhouse -- best sirloin steak anywhere.
Located on 2218 Thomas Drive, near Bay Point Entrance. 233-9514

The Beach Butlers
-- they'll do the grocery shopping while you're on the

SHOPPING --
Panama City Beach hosts some of the best shopping in Florida!
Start with Alvin's flagship store, The Magic Mountain Mall on
Front Beach Road -- they even have daily live shark and alligator
feedings! Or take the drive to Panama City Mall, the only enclosed
shopping center within 65 miles and over five million people a
year enjoy The Great Shopping Place. And of course, there's always
Wal-Mart. Come in if you need groceries, clothing, or those last
minute items you forgot to bring -- they're open 24 hours a day!
The Super Wal-Mart is Located on Front Beach Road.
Carillon Beach Community & Market
-- just around the corner is Carillon Market, reminiscent of New Orleans French
Quarter with gas lights, cobblestone streets, private courtyards, and lush landscaping.
Liz & Jane's Factory Store
